Al Orendorff is Chief Communications Officer for Zurich North America, where he is responsible for developing and implementing integrated strategic communications plans and messaging for internal and external audiences in support of Zurich’s strategy and business objectives. He is also responsible for building external awareness of the Zurich brand.
Orendorff has more than 25 years of strategic communications experience, and joined Zurich from Wyn-Win Communications, where he served as Senior Consultant Strategic Communications. Previously, he was the Corporate Communications Director for Choose Chicago, where he was responsible for cultivating and maintaining local media relationships and marketing the Chicagoland area around the world. He has also held senior public relations roles at Genworth Financial, AON and the Financial Relations Board, and worked as a news reporter for WGN Radio.

Orendorff is an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago.
Educational background
Orendorff earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Illinois State University.
