How we’re working to advance progress

Our Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council guides our efforts. It includes our CEO, our Head of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging (DIEB) and other senior leaders, as well as employees and representatives from customers, brokers and nonprofit organizations. Here are just a few of the ways we’re working to advance DIEB in our company, industry and communities.

Team Digital Light

Inclusive family leave policies provide up to 12 weeks of 100% paid leave for employees welcoming a child via birth, adoption or fostering.

Enterprise-wide training, engaging events and powerful stories support and demonstrate progress, drive an inclusive culture and create a sense of belonging.

Pay equity analyses help ensure equitable pay for equivalent work.

Our Apprenticeship Program is offering more opportunities in more locations and business areas than ever.

Handshake Digital

Additional minority-owned distributors have become part of our broker relationship program.

Grants and volunteer service to nonprofits such as Junior Achievement and other organizations.

Our Supplier Diversity Program is expanding opportunities for businesses in the communities we serve.

Fostering belonging: Employee Resource Groups

Nearly one-third of our North American employees are members of at least one ERG.

ERGs host many programs each year for employees, featuring distinguished authors, speakers, industry professionals and more.

Our 10 Employee Resource Groups focus on fostering belonging and providing insights to the business:

ERGs contribute to our communities through volunteering and fundraising for nonprofits. The Z Zurich Foundation matches eligible donations at 100%.

AbilitieZ brings awareness around individuals with disabilities and provides a platform for members to share their unique perspectives.
Emerging LeaderZ identifies and facilitates educational and developmental opportunities and aims to empower members to take an active role in their personal and professional development
Good NewZ is a faith-based ERG focused on eight pillars: Love, Integrity, Excellence, Inclusion, Growth, Connection, Leadership and Service.
Latinos Unidos for Zurich (LUZ) supports, promotes and uplifts Latinos and allies at Zurich while building a supportive community.
PrideZ recognizes Zurich's LGBTQ+ community and their allies, advocating for their talents and skills as they support the delivery of Zurich's business strategies.
Veterans Engagement Team at Zurich (VETZ) strives to build a diverse community for all current and former military service members and supporters while establishing an inclusive environment to help employees build a career, share experiences and become thought leaders at Zurich.
Women's Innovation Network (WIN) seeks to create insight into business success while providing networking opportunities with accomplished colleagues and industry experts.
Zurich African Ancestry Alliance (ZAAA) is dedicated to creating a workplace that respects and values the unique set of experiences of African American employees, business partners and customers in order to build a world-class, high-performing environment.
Zurich Asian American Pacific Islander (ZAAPI) ERG fosters networking, professional development, mentoring, and leadership opportunities and is committed to growing and developing leaders in the ZAAPI community to build a world-class high-performing environment within the organization.
