Commitment to rebuilding New York City
Zurich has a presence in New York City and therefore we are strongly committed to helping rebuild and be a part of the Lower Manhattan community. The KAMP Leadership Award programming has helped us to deliver on this commitment in a variety of ways. Our KAMP Leadership Award Winners annually partake in a community project to give back to the people of New York.
Working with the 9/11 Tribute Museum
Since 2006, Zurich and the 9/11 Tribute Museum have worked together to bring the stories of September 11 to life. Zurich employees have volunteered at the museum, while museum staff have presented at our New York events and at a SkillShare Summit in Schaumburg, IL.
In 2016, Zurich made a four-year commitment of $500,000 towards new construction of the expanded 9/11 Tribute Center, including supporting the “Rebuilding Gallery” in their new location.
Leadership and Public Service High School
Zurich’s World Trade Center and Jersey City offices are committed to a strong collaboration with the Leadership and Public Service High School (LPSHS). LPSHS serves an under-privileged population of students from all five boroughs of New York City.
Over the years, Zurich’s work with LPSHS has grown to a daily involvement. Our collaboration includes a Summer Leadership Program, which takes a group of high-achieving sophomores and juniors through a one-week office experience as an opportunity to explore careers, prepare for college and build real business experience.
