As Strategic Assistant to the North America CEO, Alex Oda is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the CEO’s strategic agenda, including coordinating executive leadership and organizational discussions and execution of agreed-upon actions. He helps manage external stakeholders and prioritize and coordinate requests from a wide range of constituents. Previously, Oda served as Assistant Vice President of Claims Operational Strategy & Innovation, managing critical projects and developing recommendations for new initiatives and areas of improvement across the Claims organization. Earlier he worked in Claims as a Project Leader supporting Market Leading Claims Insights and Operational Process Mining. He began his career with Zurich as a Strategic Specialist, and then a Strategic Consultant, for the Finance, Business Performance & Insights team. Prior to joining Zurich, Oda worked at Ernst & Young in the Valuation & Business Modeling practice.
Educational background
Oda earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Certificate in Essentials of Project Management from Northwestern University, and he holds a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation.
