Alex Muralles is the Head of Financial Institutions for Zurich North America, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and profitability of the financial institution products.
Muralles joined Zurich in 2021 and has 20 years of industry experience. His previous roles include U.S. Head of Financial Institutions at WTW in the Financial & Executive Lines Practice. Alex started his career at Chubb Insurance in both Chicago and New York in the Cyber and Financial Institutions group.

Muralles serves on the Professionanl Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) Foundation board. Muralles is also on the board of the Financial Lines Market Foundation.
Educational background
Muralles earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD from New York Law School. Alex is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
In 2017, Alex was named a Power Broker by Risk & Insurance magazine in both the Financial Services category and Rising Stars category.
